MANAAKI Matakana store - a collab with studio sio

On the 27th September 2025, MANAAKI, in collaboration with Studio Sio, was honoured to open its first flagship store — MANAAKI Matakana.

E mihi ana ki a Ngāti Manuhiri, te mana whenua o tēnei rohe, me ngā āhuatanga katoa o te taiao e karapoti nei i a mātou. Ka nui te whakamiha mō te āheinga ki te whakatū toa ki runga i tō koutou whenua. / We acknowledge Ngāti Manuhiri, the mana whenua of this rohe, and the natural surroundings that embrace us. Set amongst Matakana’s rolling countryside and coastal beauty, the space embodies MANAAKI’s values — grounded in community, guided by story, and deeply connected to the land.

Curated in partnership with interior designer Shanta Trusewich of Studio Sio, MANAAKI and Studio Sio have created a space where contemporary Māori fashion meets global design practice — a considered environment that feels both grounded and aspirational.

Since its launch in 2022, MANAAKI has been available exclusively through international stockists. Now, we’re proud to bring MANAAKI home to Aotearoa.
